Probate Forms (YT)
There are a number of province-specific forms you may need when going through the probate process.
General YT Forms
In the Yukon, the Supreme Court of Yukon handles probate and estate administration.
You can check with your local court for the forms they might prefer, and below you will find some of the more common YT forms:
- Requisition for Letters of Administration (Form 4A) - Get the probate process started
- Affidavit of Executor (Form 72) - Include with Requisition if there is a will
- Affidavit of Proposed Administrator (Form 74) - Include with Requisition if there is no will
- Estate Inventory - Consider using EstateExcec Inventory Report
- Administration Bond (Form 77) - Tell the court you obtained any required bond
- Affidavit of Notice of Application (Form 73) - Tell the court you notified the beneficiaries
- Statement of Accounts (Form 88) - Consider attaching EstateExec Final Accounting Report
- Affidavit to Pass Accounts (Form 87) - Tell the court you are done
See Yukon Supreme Court Forms for a more complete list of forms that may be required in certain situations, and for Microsoft Word version of the above forms (if preferred).
The Yukon Department of Justice also provides several pamphlets, to help executors and administrators through the probate process.
Small YT Estate Forms
Small estates sometimes need only 1 specialized form or affidavit: see Small YT Estates.
Resealing
If the estate needs to probate real estate in another province, you may be able to reseal the original grant of probate rather than start from scratch in the secondary province: see Ancillary Probate & Resealing.
