QC Probate Forms
Show Table of ContentsThere are a number of province-specific forms you may need when going through the probate process.
General Forms
In Quebec, the Superior Court in the judicial district in which the deceased lived handles probate and estate administration (see court locations).
The following forms are commonly used during a QC liquidation of succession:
- Justice Quebec: Application for the Probate of Will - Will probate forms
- Information About a Liquidator (Form LM-14-V) - Notify Revenu Québec you are the liquidator
- General Application for Registration (Form RG) - Separately notify RDPRM of liquidator, inventory closure, and accounts closure
- Inventory - Consider using the EstateExec Inventory Report
- Accounting - Consider using the EstateExec Accounting Report
- Notice Before Distribution (Form MR-14.A-V) - Request permission from Revenu Québec for distribution
- Transfer Vehicle Ownership
See Liquidating a Quebec Succession for more information.
Small Estates
Small estates sometimes need only 1 specialized form or affidavit: see Small QC Estates.
Resealing
If the estate needs to probate real estate in another province, you may be able to reseal the original grant of probate rather than start from scratch in the secondary province: see Ancillary Probate & Resealing.
