Show Table of ContentsThere are a number of state-specific forms you may need when going through the probate process.
General Forms
In Virginia, the local Circuit Court handles wills and estate probate, If you are using EstateExec and you enter the decedent's county of legal residence on the Decedent tab, you will see a direct link to the appropriate court here.
You can check with your local court for the forms they might prefer, and below you will find some of the more common VA forms:
- Application for Probate (Form CC-1650) - Get the probate process started
- List of Heirs (Form CC-1611) - Tell the court who the heirs are
- Probate Tax Return (Form CC-1651) - Tell the court how much the estate is worth
- Notice of Probate (Form CC-1616) - Send to any heirs named in the will as well as default heirs-at-law
- Affidavit of Notice Provided (Form CC-1617) - Tell the court you have made the required notices
- Inventory (Form CC-1670) - List estate contents for the court; you may be able to attach the EstateExec Inventory Report
- Account for Decedent's Estate (Form CC-1680) - Submit estate Final Accounting to court
