There are a number of state-specific forms you may need when going through the probate process.

General KS Forms

In Kansas, the local District Court handles wills and estate probate.

You can check with your local court for the forms they might prefer, and below you will find some of the more common KS forms:

  1. Notice of Hearing - Notify interested parties of a court hearing
  2. Inventory - Consider using the EstateExec Inventory Report
  3. Final Accounting - Consider using the EstateExec Accounting Report

Kansas encourages the use of lawyers when going through probate (other than for small estates), and so makes forms freely available to lawyers, but charges consumers a fee for a KS Probate Forms Packet. You may be able to access this for free at the Central Resource Library or the Kansas State Library.

Small KS Estate Forms

Small estates sometimes need only 1 specialized form or affidavit: see Small KS Estates.

Using KS Probate Forms

If you are using a licensed EstateExec estate, information about finding your court will appear here.

For information on using KS probate forms, see How to Become Executor for a KS Estate, and Overall Probate Process in KS.

Note: If you are using EstateExec, the Tasks Tab will list a series of steps that help you understand which form to use when.
