There are a number of state-specific forms you may need when going through the probate process.

General SD Forms

In South Dakota, the Clerk of Court at the local Circuit Court handles wills and estate probate.

You can check with your local court for the forms they might prefer, and below you will find some of the more common SD forms:

South Dakota does not normally provide nor require standardized probate forms, so you can either craft your own based on statute requirements (see SD Codified L § 29A-3), or ask a lawyer to prepare any necessary submissions.

Small SD Estate Forms

Small estates sometimes need only 1 specialized form or affidavit: see Small SD Estates.
